“I know I am not the best-looking man in the world, but surely no woman could fail to be dazzled by this shirt.”

This is a statement made by Datta Phuge, 32, as he showed the world his shirt made exclusively of gold.

The wealthy man spent about £14,000 (US$21,337) to have the shirt made. Apparently, his main purpose was to attract female attention.

15 goldsmiths spent 16 hours a day to carefully weave gold threads and put in six Swarovski crystal buttons. The shirt was completed in two weeks.
Scrap gold pieces were made into cuffs, rings, and a belt to match the shiny, dazzling outfit.

“The gold shirt has been one of my dreams,” Mr. Phuge told Indian newspaper the Pune Mirror. “It will be an embellishment to my reputation as the ‘Gold man of Pimpri,’” Mr. Phuge added.

With what he did, maybe he can disprove what has always been said by many that money can’t buy love.
