Olivia Adams, pictured, had the red and green tags cut off her Kickers shoes while they were still on her feet at the North School in Ashford, Kent.
The school offered her mother Clare Pamment £55 but went to police, saying: 'Who does this teacher think she is?'.
The row then escalated further when Olivia was suspended for naming the teacher involved on Facebook.
The school previously sent home 60 pupils for breaking the rules.
